The othey day, I had a friend tell me, "I realized years ago that I could be like everyone else or I could embrace who I am and maybe get fired for it."  Granted, he is great at what he does and that's what keeps him from getting fired.  I have to say though, he inspired me to embrace the kooky, flawed person I am.  I tend to be too serious at times, but have found that I can, in fact, be the weird, nerdy, and completely unique "me", and THAT is precisely what sets me apart. 

Someone else recently told me, "be serious about your work, but never about yourself".  I am trying to do this everyday and often find myself cracking more (albeit, bad) jokes and laughing more at work as a result.  What have YOU done lately in business to embrace the kooky and unique you?
