Finding, Developing, and Leading Volunteers
This past Saturday, I gave a presentation on the "10 Keys to Finding, Developing, and Leading Volunteers" at PMI's Leadership Institute Meeting in Denver. What a cool experience. I learned a ton from those that attended my session and, in turn, tried to present as much practical information as I could to help other volunteers and volunteer leaders be successful.
I have included the presentation along with the "Value Add Ideas" document presented during the session here. The "Value Add Ideas" document is something we created last year for the PMI Phoenix chapter that lists cool project ideas from PMI chapters and specific interest groups (SIGs) all throughout North America. If you are a volunteer for any non-profit organization, you may get some good ideas from this list. Happy reading!

I like the content of your presentation. It'll definitely help me out since I have a slew of volunteer scholarship and award judges to manage and can always use a tip or two or twenty. Keep up the good work!

Erika, your presentation was awesome and we used your handout to kick-start some brainstorming for new, cool ideas for projects next year. Thank you for sharing of your experience, and keep up the good work!

Erika,
Our PMIGLC Chapter president in our last Monday board meeting mentioned about his Denver leadership meeting and the presentation on volunteer engagement. I found from your blog that it was your presentation he was praising about and promised to send us more info.
I have already heard from him that it was one of the best presentation at Denver. Keep the good work up!

Thanks for the presentation at the Leadership Conference in Denver. I really enjoyed the content.
Your link for "Value Added Ideas" seems to be broken. I would love to be able to access this.
thanks
