7 Ideas on Getting Started with Social Media


Not sure how to join in on social networking and make a name for yourself? 
Here are 7 ideas that will help you build relationships and get noticed:

  1. Answer questions on LinkedIn
  2. Leave comments with helpful information on other people’s blogs
  3. Start your own blog (WordPress is a great place to start)
  4. Write an article and submit it online or to a professional organization’s e-newsletter
  5. Set up a Twitter account and start tweeting!
  6. Ask new people to connect on LinkedIn or Facebook

      Without a doubt, one's personal network provides career opportunities.  In fact, the best job opportunities, the best clients, etc. I have found have come from people I know...not from job boards.
